Motovun

Probably the most famous and most attractive Istrian medieval town Motovun is located in the northern part of Istria. When Istria is dominated by autumn tones, its landscapes shine in hundreds of shades of yellow, orange and red. From the top of the hill, this autumn variegation looks with dignity at Motovun, a medieval town with a view of the Motovun forest, the river Mirna and its stunning valley. In October, it hosts a one-day exhibition and tastings of Teran and truffle wines. The festival brings together Istrian winemakers who produce Teran who want to give it the importance it deserves, so the gastronomic experience is complemented by truffle dishes, of course, with an emphasis on those that go best with Teran. The lovely Istrian town tickles the imagination and spreads good vibes; at the end of July, his magic takes on another dimension as he has hosted a film festival since 1999, which has gained European and world fame to this day. MFF - Motovun Film Festival, is dedicated to films made in small and independent productions around the world. The features of the festival are not marked by red carpet and glamor. On the contrary, film screenings are under the open sky, the narrow streets of the city live 24 hours all five days of the festival.
