Fažana
Fažana is located on the southwestern part of the western coast of Istria in the Fažana Channel and is the starting port for the Brijuni National Park. It is also called the pearl of the west coast of the largest Croatian peninsula. The population has always been engaged in fishing and farming. The charm of the old town of Fažana are the old squares and houses lined up next to each other. Numerous events are held in the port and on the waterfront today during the summer, the most famous of which is the "sardine festival" (there are competitions in carrying fishing tackle, pulling ropes, rowing..), then "Fažana dance" (folklore group festival) young people from all over Istria), "Sea on the table" (fishing festival with culinary preparations where you can enjoy various fish delicacies), "Stars, candles and lanterns" (festival in which Fažana donates its light jewelry to the sea complemented by music by street musicians and soloists) and many other festivities.
